A World Without Air

Posted by A Great Liar

The world of dreams is a silent facade, a showy misrepresentation intended to conceal something unpleasant, something that we have all heard of, and strive for, and none achieve. If time is the big bad ball of ice rolling down the giant snow peak in clockwise motion, then the hope for happiness is the antithesis of it, an anti-clockwise act of desperation, of human struggle against the pitiless Void of creation that some call Nature, and others God.

The point is the absolute pointlessness of the whole thing. The point is not the snowball falling down the mountain, the point is why it is there in the first place.

And the point is, if there is a mysterious Machinist responsible for all the existence in the earth and beyond, a Machinist hidden to the common eye behind the veil of infinity, call it Nature or God, would it suffice as good enough explanation, a justification of sorts that everything that is there, or isnt there for that matter, is but a willfull act of Divine Providence, as it were.

But irrespective of all that, of whether we need, or could, justify anything that there is to be justified or not, the fact remains that we all live in a world without, rather than in a world within. We humans are mere entities of self denial, in a way that we forever refuse to acknowledge or be at peace with what we are, instead are in constant striving for what we arent, or dont have.

Every man or woman, no matter how mundane a soul he or she is, or how insufficient in imagination or ambition, seeks to do an act or follows a trail of otherworldiness, of that most beautiful of all that is unreal and fantastic, better known as the pursuit of happiness.

We are all fiddlers, freting their way into the unknown future, curious and babbling, lauging and crying, loving and hating, but always seeking to divulge from our own present form and circumstances. Whereas the ones in light seek the dark, and spent their lifetime doing it, like poor old saints trying to become clumsy sinners.

And the ones in the dark forever crave for the light, stumbling to light candles of hope, never realizing that it is not the darkness they fight against, but the very absence of light in their lives.

And all the while, the ball keeps rolling down the peak, and hence the pointlessness of it all.

Though we choose not to hear it coming, we choose instead to keep looking for a whiff of fresh air in a world devoid of the very substance that we call air.

We chose to do the impossible against the face of nothingness, because it is only human to do so.

We chose not to await the ball to finishing rolling, but to try and live in this world without air...

  1. today is exceptionally windy, open ur windows and let the fresh air come... we dont have an air conditioner... for i beleive nature is to experience in its entierety... for Creator doesnt give more then we can handle... but humans do...

so there is air and plenty of it... wats missing these days is water... we called a tanker today... and we shall be needing more of them... since i dont think anyone is there to look in to tell us the truth wat happened to our original water supply:( and this world is wise, helpful and sinful...

God! Dont be a fool to doubt his Existence and ask him Why? but i know u will... i did too... reason... i had so much time at hand to question him... all those questions which were supposed to be pointed at my ownselves always went out to my parents... u brought me in this world, or God... u created me, or teachers, u taught me that, or world u made the rules... all the fingers out there... none towards our ownselves... dont worry... one day u will have kids... and it will all be even... one day we shall be answerable and then we will know wat we did wrong and then we will die... but when we'll wake up again in a new world... only God will be there to remind us of wat we did... and we will then say... u got to be joking... i wasnt even there before, this is my first time around ... and God will say... yeah really?:)

Read More... but its not a must... i dont know wat i wrote further down...

Did i came here on my own accord? at the time in life all u feared was extinction... u feared being forgotten... u made a blog to remind urself and others of u... took pictures of how u looked or smiled... u will make ur voice heard so ppl know wat u r abt... and all u will fear most is no one cares for u... needs u... or remembers u... and u choose all ur paths today to ensure that... yet when u r bought to a place in life where it sucks big time u ask why i am here... and u place all the fingers at someone else... only when u r hating it... when u r loving it... u cant get enuf of everything...in that moment ... its wonderful to be alive .... so before u doubt the reasons and justifications and existence of God ... doubt urself and ur changing words and feelings... commitment doesnt change feeling does... u r here cuz of the commitment.... u r changing cuz of ur not commitment.... to God, to urself, to life, to death...

  6. Hi AGL,
A very interesting read as always...ringing in the absolute truth in your bitter sweet way.
The world and its ways do make us wonder and so does the interplay of light n darkness in our lives:-)

Wishing you all the best also for your book...hope that's turning out the way you want it to:-)

  8. hmm....we are in constant labor of finding out our reasons...but making an image for us in mirror and strive to somehow take it out in reality is not the destiny...

The destiny is to FREE yourself...for once...from every image or planned future we wanted....let it be...without FACE for a while...hmm....nice post.

  9. kid, u seriously have delusional views. all of it, that's been stated in your post, collectively and unfortunately, is called life, and rather then going into its extremities you should live it spontaneously.

everything that I've read so far, on your blog, has some... depressing or spirit killing factor in it. emerge from your own facade and if its not that, look at life with a different perspective maybe it'll seem better.

  11. @Love: Well, it sure is extremely windy, ... and extremely polluted. And I think you are over reacting to something that is only meant to be read and enjoyed (or not enjoyed, for that matter). Sometime writing is just writing, and it needs to be taken as such, and I think we would do well by not judging someone too much, specially when we dont know a single darn thing about that fella (Me in this case, hope that explains it).

@Malhaqa: Well, I think we should roll with it, to be honest.

@Spherical square: It sure is, it sure is… :)

@Alka Gurha: Thank you so much. Appreciate it.

@Bikramjit: Thanks a lot. And yes, I just checked. And will reply at my earliest. Apologies for the delay.

@suruchi: Thanks a lot. Really appreciate it. :)

@Librarywala Blogs: Thanks a lot. And sure, will drop by at ur blog asap. It will be my pleasure.

@Thinking: True. So true. Thanks a lot.

@the butterfly effect: Well, I will repeat exactly what I said to Ms. Love above. That I think you are over reacting to something that is only meant to be read and enjoyed (or not enjoyed, for that matter). Sometime writing is just writing, and it needs to be taken as such, and I think we would do well by not judging someone too much, specially when we dont know a single darn thing about that fella (Me in this case, hope that explains it).

@Habiba Younis: Oh thanks a lot, Habiba. It awfully nice of you to say that. Its very encouraging. And yes, will send a copy if and when it gets published. :)

  12. dude, im not judging you. just expressing what i gather with the little pieces ive read on ur blog, that relates only to how u write. and what impression it gives about you. plus, seriously, do u want me to believe that they r written for the sake of writing? even if it was it still shows how u think, or thought at the moment u wrote it! but no offense was meant.

  13. "do u want me to believe that they r written for the sake of writing? even if it was it still shows how u think, or thought at the moment u wrote it! but no offense was meant. "

Well, none taken. But it is rather ironic that ppl profess not to be judgmental, and the very next thing they do is to be exactly that.

And of course, no offense taken. :)

And as for views, lets just say that I have multiple personalities, many shades, both a believer, and a heretic, a human and a demon, and they get along pretty well. The view of one shade (or personality) isnt always shared by the other (personality)

    Cant explain any better. ;)

P.S. And before you say it, allow me to clarify it beforehand. That NO, I aint CONFUSED!
